This SYSTEM INFO program demonstrates a technique for extracting various system
information using Visual Basic 3.0. Either Visual Basic 3.0 or the VBRUN300
run-time DLL is required to run the program. The software also demonstrates
how to play .WAV sound files using either a sound card or the Microsoft speaker
driver which is available from most BBS's.
This program is copyrighted; however, the executable may be freely distributed
so long as no charge is made for the software. A modest copying charge may be
collected so long as the fee does not exceed $5 U.S. The source code can be
obtained directly from the author by sending $10 to cover media, shipping, and
handling.
All of the files in this compressed archive should be copied to your WINDOWS
directory (typically C:\WINDOWS). The program can be run from Program Manager
by pressing ALT-F then R then type SYSINFO and press ENTER.
